About the event
The Stinks are a local classic rock cover band that originated from a budding acoustic duo of Jerry Clarke and Paul Pfender. Jerry & Paul’s duo (the OG Stinks) eventually filled out to a full band, adding Vincent DiFrancesco on bass/vocals, Johnny Mac on lead guitar/vocals and Bridgett Gordon on drums/vocals (offical band names Paul E. Stink, Jerome Stink, Vincent VonStink, Johnny McStink and Mickey VonStink). This band was largely responsible for the formation of The Royal, after a friendship between Bridgett and Jerry formed into a business partnership.
They invited their good friends, The Planets, to share the stage as they have in the past, to celebrate the 1 Year Anniversary of The Royal. The Planets are a blues/rock group that features Joel Planet on lead guitar and vocals, Nancy Planet on percussion, Dr. Rob Planet on bass and Bob Bauers Planet on drums.
The one and only Mike McNichol will open the night! Mike is one of our biggest advocates and has been a huge part of our Open Mic family here at The Royal. His love of folk music, and acoustic styling of playing is the perfect way to get the night started.
