About the event

Come experience a unique showcase of incredible songs, storytelling, collaboration and community. This concert series brings you 4 talented songwriters curated by Aaron Nathans, Avi Wisnia, and Meghan Cary. Each month, a different line up of stand out artists share the stage, taking turns performing an eclectic variety of original songs, sharing the stories behind those songs, and speaking to the unique perspective that comes with having strong connections to the Philadelphia music scene.

Larry Ahearn

There’s a gritty, road-seasoned grace to the words and music of Larry Ahearn. His music is steeped in the classic singer-songwriter tradition, with folk and blues-based melodies framing poetically evocative lyrics that tell stories and paint pictures. Ahearn’s wealth of experience as a writer, performer, concert organizer and mentor to other performers informs every note of his music. His songs are doorways into his own life and the people he’s met, loved and imagined.

Hope Dunbar

Hope Dunbar is a singer/songwriter from Nebraska now in New Jersey working on that Big Sky sound in a small town. A three time Kerrville New Folk Finalist, she's been recognized for her songwriting by American Songwriter Magazine lyrics contest earning a second place for her song,  "We Want." Her most recent albums, "Sweetheartland," and "You Let the Light In" were both released in 2021 to critical acclaim. She recently toured Germany and Scotland with fellow songwriter, Katie Dahl. Her favorite songwriters are Darrell Scott, Joni Mitchell, Kris Kristofferson, Cory Branan, Todd Snider, Patty Griffin and Deb Talan.

Heidi Wolfson

Heidi Wolfson is a Philadelphia based songwriter. Her band, CubiZm, consists of Wolfson, Art Cohen, Steve Lessick and Neal Phillips. Her five studio albums span the last 25 years. CubiZm’s Invisible Now, Grays in the Rain and Different Kind of Folk can be found on YouTube and all streaming stations. A documentary about Wolfson’s life can also be found on YouTube, as well as her songs being covered by more than 50 local artists. Although Wolfson’s delivery is often effusive, her songs are, more often than not, poetic and understated. She will be backed by guitarist Neal Phillps, who joined CubiZm in 2023.

Frank Hogans

Frank Hogans is an award-winning singer-songwriter hailing from the Eastern Shore of Maryland. A clever wordsmith and a seasoned and innovative guitarist, he has earned a loyal following that appreciates his refreshingly intelligent lyrics and uniquely original melodies. He has an arsenal of dark and surprising chord voicings, out-of-the- box tunings, and a counterintuitively powerfully fragile vocal delivery.
