ABOUT THE ARTIST

You can visualize Kyf Brewer’s musical sensibility as the dismantling moment of a Buddhist sand mandala, when every vibrant color is swirled and skittered together into a new blend of what the individual colors and designs once represented. Hues of 60s pop radio, British Invasion, early Nashville, mountain bluegrass, black rhythm & blues, Baptist hymns and ancient celtic melodies find harmonious sanctuary within the infectious choruses of his offerings. 

That’s quite a mouthful to imagine digesting, were not the taste so romantically reminiscent and fulfilling.

Kyf Brewer has enjoyed cult-notoriety around the globe, fronting The Ravyns in the 80s, Company of Wolves in the 90s, and the pan-celtic Barleyjuice for the past 23 years. Many of his songs have made their way into television shows and movies.

Kyf’s non-musical credits include occasional appearances in film & TV, such as John Waters’ Serial Mom, NBC’s Homicide: Life on the Streets, and CBS’ Hack, and narrating audiobooks by David Baldacci, Sandra Brown & Danielle Steel, but nothing has brought him more joy than the music.

DRINK: Our neighbors at The Ways Restaurant and Brewery have a bar set-up in the back of the venue and will be selling their delicious beer. BYO-Wine is allowed with a $5 corkage fee per person. No Hard Liquor or outside beer permitted.

FOOD: We sell small snacks at each event, but we are not a restaurant and do not have table service. We strongly recommend having dinner at The Ways Restaurant and Brewery beforehand and we do allow outside food in the venue if you wish to bring it in.

PARKING: Guests of The Royal are permitted to park in the parking lot of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Enter the lot on Mt. Carmel Avenue, on the other side of Easton Road. Parking is available at the Glenside Train Station, but at your own risk as we are not associated or contracted with SEPTA. Street parking is also available.
