About the event
ABOUT THE SHOW
Our first Thursday songwriter shows follow a "in the round" format. Each artist will play an original song, giving the audience some background on the meaning, writing style, or whatever else they care to share about their music. After each artist performs one song, the first "round" moves on to the next. There are usually 5 rounds total, with a group performance at the end. Songwriter rounds tend to be very engaging, participatory, and educatiional in nature.
ABOUT THE ARTISTS
Tim Moxey grew up in Chestnut Hill and has been playing music since he was six years old. He began writing songs in high school, but it wasn't until he was encouraged by those at The Royal that he began sharing his music with others. As he continues to write, he draws inspiration from artists like Bob Dylan, Jack Johnson, and Josh Ritter.
Anthony Carver Singer. Songwriter. German.
Caleb Joshua Thomas is a songwriter (and reluctant attorney) from central Pennsylvania who loves writing intimate, story driven songs often built around Townes Van Zandt-style fingerpicking.
Loren Gildar is a singer-songwriter and music therapist. He is no stranger to The Royal, having performed his original songs with his full band last year. You can check him out here: https://www.lorengildarmusic.com/
