Vilebred + Beggars

Vilebred is a Delco-based experimental rock band, lustfully churning out rich melodies, epic anthems, and enough snark to make everyone a little uncomfortable. Following the footsteps of his brother Kurt Vile, Sammy Vile is the musical architect that leads this circus.

Beggars is a Philadelphia area rock band featuring the original songwriting of frontman Alex Tatunchak. Royal regular Jeff Klemens holds down the low end on bass and contributes singing and lyrics. Guitarist Jason Bookman (Copstache) and drummer Jeff Metcalf round out the ensemble. Their full-length album Reckless was released in 2018.

DRINK: Our neighbors at The Ways Restaurant and Brewery have a bar set-up in the back of the venue and will be selling their delicious beer. BYO-Wine is allowed with a $5 corkage fee per person. No Hard Liquor or outside beer permitted.

FOOD: We sell small snacks at each event, but we are not a restaurant and do not have table service. We strongly recommend having dinner at The Ways Restaurant and Brewery beforehand and we do allow outside food in the venue if you wish to bring it in.

PARKING: Guests of The Royal are permitted to park in the parking lot of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Enter the lot on Mt. Carmel Avenue, on the other side of Easton Road. Parking is available at the Glenside Train Station, but at your own risk as we are not associated or contracted with SEPTA. Street parking is also available.
