About the Artist

Celebrate the music of folk legend John Prine with Mark Henkelman and Friends! 

From Baltimore, Mark is a life long lover and supporter of acoustic music. He spent 20+ years in local bands with family members and friends, and continues to host and support local Open Mic's.

In recent years, Mark has focused his attention on paying tribute to the great John Prine. Mark is on the local circuit playing solo 3-4 hour performances of John Prine music in the Baltimore/Philadelphia/York area.

Mark is dedicated to keeping the songs John Prine alive. He enjoys sharing John's music with fellow 'Priners' and relishes the opportunity to bring the 'Who's John Prine?" crowd into the fold.

DRINK: Our neighbors at The Ways Restaurant and Brewery have a bar set-up in the back of the venue and will be selling their delicious beer. BYO-Wine is allowed with a $5 corkage fee per person. No Hard Liquor or outside beer permitted.

FOOD: We sell small snacks at each event, but we are not a restaurant and do not have table service. We strongly recommend having dinner at The Ways Restaurant and Brewery beforehand and we do allow outside food in the venue if you wish to bring it in.

PARKING: Guests of The Royal are permitted to park in the parking lot of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Enter the lot on Mt. Carmel Avenue, on the other side of Easton Road. Parking is available at the Glenside Train Station, but at your own risk as we are not associated or contracted with SEPTA. Street parking is also available.
