It’s Season 1 Episode 1! Get ready to groove and vibe at the hottest concert and audio/video studio session series hitting the Philly area: The City Love Sessions! It's a throwback to the golden era of music TV with a modern twist! Inspired by classics like Soul Train, American Bandstand, and TRL, this series features live performances, interactive interviews, and ongoing video episodes. We’ll go all year long and culminate in December with the Season Finale & release of this year’s mixtape. Held at the Royal Music & Arts Center, doors open at 7:30, with the show kicking off at 8pm.

From soulful melodies to psychedelic beats, each event features a curated lineup of exciting up-and-coming artists, capturing the pulse of the music scene in Philly and beyond. Every performance is recorded and filmed, with episodes crafted to showcase the essence of each artist's talent, personality, and style. Expect interviews peppered with audience questions, live performances that ignite the stage, and a mixtape that captures the essence of the series. 

Hosted by the dynamic duo of Audio Engineer & Producer Tim Cole and Music Manager & Journalist Anubis Jones, each episode promises to be a little slice of music history. About the Artists:

Meet Kiaura Rose, a 21-year-old singer and songwriter hailing from the vibrant musical landscape of Philly and South Jersey. With dreamy lyricism and emotionally charged compositions, Kiaura's music explores the complexities of love, lust, and life, showcasing a versatile range that seamlessly navigates between alternative pop, soulful singer-songwriter melodies, and immersive band-heavy pieces. Unveiling "Miles Per Hour" and "Dial Tone" alongside the "Yellow Hearts" singer Ant Saunders, she amassed an impressive 5 million streams to date across various platforms. In 2022, she triumphed in the Whip Radio Battle of the Bands, solidifying her presence in the local music scene. Most recently, she dropped her highly anticipated single, "Unbecoming" on March 1st of 2024. Following this compelling introduction of her new era will be the unveiling of her debut EP, promising an immersive exploration of her artistic vision and boundless potential.

DRINK: Our neighbors at The Ways Restaurant and Brewery have a bar set-up in the back of the venue and will be selling their delicious beer. BYO-Wine is allowed with a $5 corkage fee per person. No Hard Liquor or outside beer permitted.

FOOD: We sell small snacks at each event, but we are not a restaurant and do not have table service. We strongly recommend having dinner at The Ways Restaurant and Brewery beforehand and we do allow outside food in the venue if you wish to bring it in.

PARKING: Guests of The Royal are permitted to park in the parking lot of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Enter the lot on Mt. Carmel Avenue, on the other side of Easton Road. Parking is available at the Glenside Train Station, but at your own risk as we are not associated or contracted with SEPTA. Street parking is also available.
